Janet Baird

Throughout her life, Janet Baird has committed herself to family and community. She came to Victoria from Winnipeg in 1968 and became involved in a number of charitable and non-profit community organizations. Among the organizations that have benefited from her leadership are the Victoria Conservatory of Music, Camosun College Board, Victoria Police Board, Greater Victoria Media Research Association, McPherson Foundation, Vancouver Island Advanced Technology Centre, and the Maritime Foundation of British Columbia. Baird was also a member of the Board of Trustees for the Greater Victoria School District and Victoria City Council.
