Harley Eagle is Dakota and Ojibwe, a Whitecap Dakota First Nation member. In the summer of 2025, he and his family returned to his homelands in Saskatchewan after living in the Territory of the K’ómoks Peoples on Vancouver Island, BC for almost 30 years across various periods. Indigenous lifeways guide his work as an Indigenous Cultural Safety & Humility (ICS&H) consultant and facilitator.

His nearly 30 years of experience includes consulting and training nationally and internationally in transforming conflict, anti-racism, dismantling oppression, cultural safety & humility, somatics, and trauma healing with many organizations and companies across many sectors. Harley holds an MA in Conflict Analysis and Management from Royal Roads University (RRU). He also holds certificates in Trauma Healing and Integrative Somatic Therapy.

At RRU, Harley has served on the Program and Research Council and the Advisory Council for the School of Humanitarian Studies. He was also Co-Chair of the Indigenous Advisory Council for the Conflict Analysis and Management program and Indigenous Scholar in Residence for the MA-Leadership Health Specialization. He has developed curriculum, co-authored book chapters, been invited as a guest speaker, and facilitated several workshops for diverse audiences across the RRU community.
