This presentation is part of the Disaster and Emergency Management Lecture Series.
Explore how insider threats are emerging as non-traditional hazards in disaster and emergency management.
You’ll be introduced to behavioural insights from insider-threat research alongside the growing risks associated with aging critical infrastructure.
Through real-world examples and an all-hazards lens, you’ll gain insight into how cyber-physical interdependencies, organizational culture, governance gaps, and workforce pressures can intensify the impacts of insider-driven actions.
You’ll gain a clearer understanding of why insider threats are not simply security issues, but complex, systemic challenges that emergency managers must increasingly be prepared to recognize and address.
