On Thursday, October 19, Royal Roads is participating in the Great BC ShakeOut – an annual province-wide opportunity to practice safety during earthquakes.
On October 19, at 10:19 a.m., we will practice “Drop, Cover and Hold On.” Drop to the ground, take cover by getting under a sturdy desk or table and hold on until the shaking stops. According to emergency management experts, these are the actions that can reduce injury and death during earthquakes.
We encourage everyone to participate on ShakeOut day, whether on campus or from your own home, to practice keeping safe during an earthquake.
