Elaine Mazurick

I believe it’s the face-to-face connections created during the on-campus residencies in combination with the online platform that are the key to the success of Royal Roads. It is by spending time and working together that deeper connections are made, and collaboration is much easier in person. 

The campus is serene, beautiful, and peaceful, providing the perfect space in nature to reflect on learnings, life, and dreams. I spent a lot of time walking the trails and sitting by the water during residency, and I feel this helped me work through the content covered in class as well as my personal thoughts.

I am now a much better version of the former me. The biggest change is within my perspective and confidence. I dream big and understand what I want can be achieved in a completely outside-the-box manner. I have a better understanding of myself, what I enjoy, and who I want to become. I have more confidence and I’m more easily able to influence change. This experience has changed my life in all aspects.
