The Donald and Margaret Mills Award was established to provide financial support to Indigenous students entering a Royal Roads University program. The Awards Adjudication Panel has discretion on the value of the award depending on the amount of funding available and the current needs of students who applied for assistance.

Eligibility

  • entering a Royal Roads program
  • self-identify as Indigenous (First Nations, Métis, or Inuit)
  • have demonstrated either:
    • achievement in one of Royal Roads’ major theme areas including academic excellence, awards and honours received, professional memberships or advancement in the relevant field of study.
    • selfless dedication to volunteerism and community involvement.

How to apply

  • this Entrance Award application is open to students who will be active in their program this fall.
  • pending the availability of funding, the competition will run annually from:
    • March 1st to May 1st
  • applications are submitted online through MyAdmin.
  • address eligibility for all Entrance Awards of interest in one one-page essay with your name in top margin.
