Doctoral Academic Excellence Awards provide awards of up to $10,000 to RRU doctoral students to support the research phase of the program and to encourage the timely completion of study. The intention of this funding is to support students who have not yet received substantial financial support, who show the promise of academic excellence including coursework and progress towards the Candidacy and/or proposal, and whose research will either impact management research and practice (DBA Program) or will make a distinct interdisciplinary contribution to applied scholarship in the social sciences (DSocSci Program).

Eligibility

  • Less than three active years in the program (i.e., 36 months or less, excluding Leaves).
  • Reasonable financial need and other awards in relation to other applicants may be taken into consideration where the panel employs a wish to “spread the love”.
  • Maximum two Doctoral Academic Excellence Awards per recipient.

Pending the availability of funding, the competition aims to run annually from September 1 to November 1 (closes 11:59 p.m. (Pacific)).
