Ecol 201 provides a foundational introduction to the field of Ecology. Topics include biotic and abiotic factors influencing species distributions, behavioral ecology (including foraging, intra- and interspecific interactions), population ecology (distribution and abundance, life histories, population dynamics) and community structure and function. Island Biogeography Theory, biodiversity and conservation biology will also be introduced in this course.
