Reimagining young adult cancer care, together
Cancer care wasn’t designed for young adults. Right now, you can help change that — and double your impact.
Help reimagine young adult cancer care in Greater Victoria and beyond.
For a limited time, every dollar you donate will be matched by The Rix Family Foundation, up to $20,000.
Young adults facing cancer are often navigating education or careers, finances, fertility, mental health, and relationships — all at once.
Yet in British Columbia, cancer care isn’t built for their stage of life. Many feel isolated, unsupported, and left to find their own way, with few local resources designed for them.
Anew is a collaborative research hub at Royal Roads University, working alongside young adults, care providers, Island Health, BC Cancer, and community partners.
Together with your support, we’re reimagining cancer care based on real lived experience, not assumptions.
Your matched gift will help make possible
With your support, Anew will pilot a young adult centered patient navigation and support model in Greater Victoria by 2028, strengthening care that addresses real life needs, including:
- Peer support with people who truly understand
- Financial guidance and practical resources
- Fertility support, counselling, and return to work planning
Our goal: no young person should have to navigate cancer alone.
