Kate (they/she) is a proud alum of Royal Roads’ Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies and is currently a Doctor of Social Sciences student. For more than 15 years, they have worked to create equitable, relational, and inclusive learning environments in universities and purpose-oriented organizations internationally.
As a queer, neurodiverse student with invisible disabilities, Kate understands both the barriers and the possibilities of higher education and is dedicated to making transformative learning more accessible and impactful. They have advocated for student rights through roles such as founding member of the Association of British Columbian Students, delegate with the Canadian Alliance of Student Associations, and university Ombudsperson and Advocacy Service Manager in both Canada and Aotearoa New Zealand.
