Leadership Studies

Maureen Clarke is an associate faculty member in the Master of Arts in Leadership program. Clarke approaches her work with the deep knowledge that thriving human relationships are the cornerstone to successful change. She believes that organizations as living systems can be disrupted positively to enable a desired future. Clarke’s research interests include exploring organizational culture, systems change, emergent futures, leadership development, Indigenous ways of knowing and being, engagement, collaborative practice and action research methodology.

Experience

Clarke has been an academic supervisor since 2010. She has supervised more than forty organizational leadership projects across private and public sector industries. Clarke brings more than 20 years of experience in organizational culture change, performance management, evaluation, quality improvement, strategic human resources, individual, group and team coaching and facilitation, and leadership development. Since 2011, Clarke has been teaching in all aspects of the online program for the Master of Arts in Leadership and teaching in the SoLS residencies.

Clarke is an ICF Professional Certified Coach with 1,200+ hours of coaching experience. Clarke is certified to deliver a wide range of individual and organizational assessments.  Over the past five years, she has embarked on a learning journey to become culturally informed as an ally in addressing widespread systemic racism in support of the UN Declaration on the Right of Indigenous Peoples.
