Leeann Waddington

Education & Technology programs

Leeann Waddington is the Director of Learning Technology and Educational Development at Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU). She is also an Appreciative Inquiry Facilitator and Trainer for the Center for Appreciative Inquiry. Previously faculty in KPU’s Nursing programs and the Curriculum Coordinator for the Faculty of Health, she has been a post-secondary educator for ten years. Prior to this she was a nurse and healthcare manager serving various leadership roles in the Canadian and US healthcare system. Currently a doctoral candidate at Athabasca University, her research explores how Appreciative Inquiry can support change in teaching practice to meet the needs of future learners.

Experience

Waddington has more than 15 years leadership experience in two complex sectors. This has provided her a wealth of transferable skills in operations, finance, project management, strategic planning, and most importantly building teams and supporting people to be their best at work. A lifelong learner herself, she is passionate about education, educational reform and student centered learning.
