Dr. Jean-Guy Robichaud’s masters research focused on building tourism entrepreneurial capacity in small to medium sized cities. His doctoral research was an investigation into the empowerment and suppression of voice in North-South higher education partnerships, with a case study of tourism-education partnership and community development research.
Experience
Robichaud’s career began in high-end hotels and resorts in Alberta, British Columbia and Quebec to complete his journeyman certifications as cook, baker, and pastry chef. He was also a business partner in Patisseries in Quebec City for six years. He joined the faculty in culinary arts and pastry arts at Cambrian College and later became the director of Student Success and Recruitment. Robichaud is currently a faculty member at Vancouver Island University in the Hospitality Management program.
