Helena Prins is currently an Advisor, Learning and Teaching at BCcampus. She is a also a Certified Career Strategist with Career Professionals  Canada and a member of the Professional Development Committee of ACE-WIL. Her areas of passion and practice include work-integrated learning, universal design for learning, trauma-informed teaching, and facilitating learning online.

Experience

Helena started her career as a high school teacher in South Africa while obtaining an additional B.Ed. in Special Education with distinction. She pursued international education on the beautiful island of Taiwan for seven years, during which she completed her Masters of Arts in Education. Since immigrating to Canada, Helena has taught all ages – from kindergarten to facilitating learning online courses for faculty across BC.
