Leadership Studies

Darren Levine’s work and research focuses on cultivating workplaces that inspire and engage, where all staff can discover their creative potential and exercise leadership for innovative change. Levine’s key areas of focus include workplace psychological safety, organizational culture and leadership, staff engagement and satisfaction, leadership development, leadership for innovation, leadership without title, change management, human-centred design, co-production, and innovation tools and processes from ideation to prototyping and testing, to adoption and scaling.

Experience

Over the past twenty years, Levine has held a variety of management roles and has exercised leadership in several contexts including the not-for-profit and public sectors. He is an associate faculty member in the School of Leadership Studies and the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management at Royal Roads University. He has led the establishment and operation of an innovation and research unit in a large government organization in southern Ontario, and operates a private leadership and innovation consulting and professional development practice. For Levine, leadership is a journey of self-discovery, community and service.
