The Graduate Diploma in Learning and Technology program responds to the demand for qualified professionals in the field of technology-mediated learning and education and the need for management level individuals who have the knowledge and skills to assume leadership roles in program design, development, and evaluation. The typical learner profile for this program is cross-sectoral and includes some of following role and sectors:
- Training and Development – Industry; Department of National Defense; NGO’s,
- Education and Development Managers – Health Care,
- Training Managers and Directors of Learning - Banking,
- Higher education faculty, instructors and teaching and learning centre directors,
- K-12 educators and administrators.
The emphasis of the program is on learning and learning processes, planning for learning, designing for learning, facilitating learning, and assessing learning, all of which take place in technology-mediated environments. In this program you apply theoretical and practical knowledge of learning and critically analyze and evaluate how learning is being shaped in the digital age as well as how to facilitate it using technology.

Recently, the role of instructional designer was ranked 38th best job in America. The expected job growth over the next ten years is 28% and on average, the entry level education is a Master’s degree. It is a portable, dynamic skill set that allow our graduates to work in roles such as Education Managers, Training and Development Managers or Online/Blended Learning directors in various industries. Several of our graduates work for teaching and learning centres in colleges and universities assisting faculty in integrating new paradigms of learning and working with technology into their teaching practice.
