COVID-19 has highlighted the importance of being an effective problem solver and having the ability to quickly adapt and pivot in the face of the unknown. Today, there is a greater need than ever for an increased tolerance for ambiguity and for the capacity to generate insight that will support us as we navigate through these uncertain times.

If we are to emerge to a new normal with collective insights and better ways of being, we need to build our resiliency and communication skills. On September 15th, join professor, Dr. Jennifer Walinga from the School of Communication and Culture, and program head, Dr. Marnie Jull from the MA in Conflict Analysis and Management program within the School of Humanitarian Studies, for an engaging discussion on ways to increase your ability to problem solve in crisis situations.

During this interactive session you will:

  • Learn the principles of crisis communication
  • Understand how conflict can emerge in times of crisis
  • Explore the concepts of insight and tolerance for ambiguity as they relate to crisis management
  • Learn new tools and strategies for navigating crisis and conflict
  • Apply new concepts and tools to your current scenario

Date: September 15th, 2020
