Hope is a fellowship: a video message from President Steenkamp

My video message this week is about hope.

I remember hearing Archbishop Desmond Tutu speak about hope at my university in South Africa during the time of apartheid. His prediction for a black president seemed like an impossible dream. But he was right.

It helps inform my own definition of hope: the confident expectation that a desirable change is likely to happen

With great change and upheaval around the world, it's a kind of hope I think we need right now. One that guides and motivates us to action. One nurtured by fellowship.
