Human Security and Peacebuilding Program Head Ken Christie spoke with CFAX 1070’s Adam Stirling about what the deaths of ISIS leader and spokesperson mean for the future of the group. He also spoke about the role of the US in the deaths and the prospect of stability in the region.

Here is an excerpt:

In American foreign policy seemingly anything can happen. This is a foreign policy that is enacted by tweeting out things.

The real people who are going to suffer are the Kurds that Trump has completely betrayed and now Turkey has moved into a lot of formally Kurdish occupied territory, and all the other vulnerable people: the refugees in the camps, etc., and the millions of people who are displaced through this.”

The interview aired on CFAX 1070.
