Founded in 1957, ITESO is the Jesuit University of Guadalajara. ITESO belongs to a network of 228 Jesuit universities around the world, known for educating leaders in the fields of science and art. Studying at ITESO provides the opportunity to connect with students from around the world who share a passion for improving people’s living conditions. The campus is located within the Guadalajara metropolitan area in western Mexico and has a reputation for great tequila.

The exchange

Students will have the opportunity to take courses in English as well as learn Spanish. To take a Spanish language course, students will need to complete a placement test to determine their level of Spanish proficiency. ITESO provides incoming exchange students with the ability to study at a university with leading professors in their fields of study. Modern facilities, beautiful green space and more than 10,000 students make ITESO an excellent choice to build your global resume.

Course information

ITESO offers a range of courses taught in English. Spanish language courses are also available at beginner and intermediate levels.

Accommodation

Once accepted for your exchange semester, ITESO will provide you with a list of housing options. Currently, ITESO does not provide student housing facilities.

Student life

Guadalajara is the second-largest city in Mexico providing exchange students lots of potential to soak up Mexican culture. The ITESO campus is located near nature and has on-site recreational facilities. Play soccer, tennis, baseball or basketball with other students.
