Meet Mary-Ann Kelly,

My name is Mary-Ann Kelly, and I will soon be a Royal Roads MA Leadership Graduate! In my current professional life, I am part of the senior leadership team with a non-profit social organization in Edmonton, Alberta. I started my journey with Royal Roads in the Graduate Certificate program in 2018. The day after classes finished, I immediately rolled into the full MA program. When I started the certificate program, the work I was doing at the time was quite different than where I am now. The experiences I had during the certificate program were quite profound for me - to the point where I decided to leave my government job and return to my career roots, where my true work passion is. During the full MA program, I quite unexpectedly found myself on the thesis track of the program. It has been an amazing experience to watch my research in action - the blending of academia and my work as a practitioner has been monumentally rewarding for me.
