Mr. Darcy Rezac CD

Darcy Rezac is CEO of the Ana Pacific Consulting Company, and served as managing director and CEO of the Vancouver Board of Trade from 1986 to 2011. In that role, he played a lead role in establishing: Vancouver International Airport as a local airport authority; the NEXUS lane at the border; the International Maritime Centre; BC's International Financial Centre; and, the Canada Line.
Prior to that, Mr. Rezac was a federal assistant deputy minister - the Federal Economic Development Coordinator for BC - and held executive positions with Alcan, the Canada Employment and Immigration Commission and General Motors.
Mr. Rezac is a member of the Davos Circle, having represented The Board of Trade as a delegate to the World Economic Forum from 1989 until 2008. He is a founding fellow of and chairs the Royal Roads University Fellows Council.
Mr. Rezac is an author and international lecturer on engaged leadership, corporate citizenship, positive networking, and social capital. His book, Work the Pond! (Prentice Hall, NY) has been published in the US, Canada and in translation in China, Korea and Russia. He is the author of the Engaged Leadership Matrix, a capacity model and a governor of the 1994 Victoria Commonwealth Games.
Mr. Rezac holds a BSc in psychology from McGill University, a MBA from the John Molson School of Business, Concordia University, and is a 2005 graduate of the Corporate Governance College of the Institute of Corporate Directors. He was awarded an army commission and served as a captain in the Royal Canadian Engineers. He was commissioned in Canadian Navy in 1996 as honorary captain (N), Canada Fleet Pacific and served for 12 years.
An aviation enthusiast, Mr. Rezac earned a multi-engine land and sea commercial pilot's license, and he and his wife and co-author, Gayle Hallgren, enjoy fly-fishing and cycling.
