Having recently retired as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Aviation Alberta, Mr. Clements is currently Chair of the Board of the Canadian Centre for Unmanned Vehicle Systems. He formerly served ten years as the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Edmonton Regional Airports Authority. Before that, Mr. Clements has had a long and distinguished career in the Canadian Air Force. An experienced fighter pilot, he held progressively challenging positions and became as Lieutenant General, the Commander of Canada’s Air Force from 1993 to 1995. He further served for seven years as Honorary Colonel of the Aerospace Engineering Test Establishment at Canadian Forces Base Cold Lake, and has recently been awarded the rare recognition of having served Canada in uniform for 42 years.

He holds directorships of several public and private sector boards that include: the Alberta Economic Development Authority (AEDA); Vice-Chair of the Royal Roads University Foundation; Association of Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (Canada); Canadian Centre for Unmanned Vehicle Systems; Wenzel Energy Services; the Strategic Advisory Committee to the GOA; and, Vice Chair of the Transportation and Logistics Committee of the Calgary Chamber of Commerce. He is CEO of his own personal services company, Leadership Works Canada.

Mr. Clements holds Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) from the Royal Military College of Canada, and a Masters Degree in Public Administration from the University of Auburn at Montgomery, Alabama. He is a recipient of the Order of Military Merit in the Rank of Commander, and in 2004 was awarded Honorary Doctor of Laws Degree from Royal Roads University.
