Angela Brown, MA in Human Security and Peacebuilding
J. Armand Bombardier Canada Graduate Scholarship Master’s, Social Science and Humanities Research Council of Canada
Angela explored Israeli and Palestinian peacebuilders’ personal narratives and the relationship of their stories to their involvement in reconciliation and coexistence initiatives. She discovered that personal relationships play in the motivation to be involved in peace-making rather than the reconciliation activities themselves. This research concluded with the offer of peace education recommendations to the Gilboa Regional Council, the Palestinian Authority, and the Government of Israel.Throughout the course of this study Angela completed an internship with the Gilboa Regional Council in Northern Israel and the Palestinian Dialogue Center in Ramallah, West Bank.
