Singh new UBCM president

Arjun Singh, councillor with the City of Kamloops, was officially installed as Union of British Columbia Municipalities (UBCM) president Sept. 14. after serving as first vice president for the past year.

Singh said that “[d]ealing with matters such as how to share provincial tax revenues from cannabis, what to do about the impending loss of Greyhound bus service in all our communities, and the impact of proposed changes to the Fire Safety Act will require close collaboration between local government and the province.”

Singh holds a Masters of Arts in Professional Communication Royal Roads University (2011).
