For international students studying at RRU

The following items are sources of funding available to international students at Royal Roads University. Please be aware that major funding for education at this institution may only be available from your home country.

Endeavor Awards

Study Group is partnering with Royal Roads University to offer two CA$3,000 Endeavour Awards to Maple Leaf students entering the first year of an on-campus undergraduate degree. The awards are offered to support and reward high achieving, graduating Maple Leaf students who wish to extend their Canadian education into higher education at Royal Roads University in Canada.

Applications will be accepted for these tuition-credit awards: one for “Hospitality and Tourism”, the other for “Business”.  Applications will be competitively reviewed based on evidence of eligibility as provided in the application form and essay.

Eligibility

  • Will receive a BC Dogwood diploma through the Maple Leaf education system this year
  • Achieved an outstanding Secondary School GPA (omitting Grade 12 English)
  • Received an admission offer to Royal Roads University
  • Intends to start the program in the year the award is offered
  • Demonstrates exceptional potential for academic success at Royal Roads University by describing personal preparation for continuing education in Canada

Shenzhen Concord Scholarship

Royal Roads University is offering through competition two CA$2,000 renewable Shenzhen Concord Scholarships to students coming from Shenzhen Concord College of Sino-China and entering the first year of an on-campus undergraduate degree as part of RRU's International Study Centre. The awards are offered to support and reward high achieving, graduating Shenzhen Concord College students who wish to extend their Canadian education into higher education at Royal Roads University in Canada.

Once a year, applications will be accepted for these tuition-credit awards: one for "Hospitality and Tourism", the other for "Business". Successful recipients will receive $2,000 towards tuition each year for four consecutive years.  Applications will be competitively reviewed based on evidence of eligibility as provided in the application form and supporting essay.

  • Will receive a BC Dogwood diploma through the Shenzhen Concord College of Sino-China this year
  • Received an admission offer to first year of an on-campus undergraduate program at RRU through International Study Centre
  • Intends to start the program in the year the award is offered
  • Achieved an outstanding Secondary School GPA (omitting Grade 12 English)
  • Demonstrates exceptional potential for academic success at Royal Roads University by describing personal preparation for continuing education in Canada

Royal Roads Entrance and In-Course Awards Programs

International students enrolled in a domestic Royal Roads University program, other than Study Group students, can participate in RRU’s awards programs. Please visit the Entrance Awards and In-Course Awards pages for information.

Ernst Mach Grant for studying at an Austrian university of applied sciences (Fachhochschule)

This grant is for undergraduate and graduate students who would like to study at an Austrian university of applied sciences for one or two semesters during the 2015-2016 academic year.  Value of this 4 to 10 month grant is a monthly allowance of € 940 (= approx. USD 1270), accident and health insurance, accommodation, and tuition exemption.

Application deadline for the 2015-16 academic year is March 1, 2015. You will need a letter of acceptance to a program offered by an eligible institution in order to apply for the grant. 

For RRU’s BAIHM students, the deadline to be nominated to attend MCI Management Center Innsbruck is January 2015. Please contact your program office for information on how to receive a nomination.
