Tourism Industry Training - Provincial and National
Transforming Communities: Many communities across B.C. are discovering that the tourism industry can greatly benefit their economies and lifestyles. Success can only be achieved, however, if decision-makers are properly equipped with the knowledge, skills and tools needed to integrate tourism into a community’s economic mix.
Transforming Communities through Tourism is a unique 5 ½ day “hands-on” learning experience designed for local government officials and decision makers who are involved with, or plan to undertake, tourism planning and/or destination development initiatives in their communities.
Transforming Communities is led by Dr. Brian White. The program brings together educators and experts from a network of 20 institutions offering tourism and hospitality education across B.C., as well as trusted industry partners from lead provincial organizations. The program is presented by Capilano University and Link BC. For further information, please contact: Morgan Westcott at LinkBC morgan@linkbc.ca or call (604) 984-1750.
