The Centre for Health Leadership and Research builds on RRU’s extensive experience in leadership studies for health care leaders, senior administrators and practitioners in hospitals, regional health authorities, government, and other policy and research agencies.
The Centre attracts leaders in health and provides a forum to examine current and emerging challenges in health care, while pursuing customized action and applied research projects. The staff/researchers/faculty at the Centre analyze complex issues associated with appropriate stewardship of national and provincial programs, the role of policy and accountability in health systems, and the leader’s role in implementing leading practices for change and health care reform.
In partnership with the
Canadian Health Services Research
Foundation (CHSRF) and the
Canadian College of Health Services Executives (CCHSE), the Centre works with RRU's Centre for Applied Leadership and Management to offer a Graduate Certificate in Health Systems Leadership that focuses on working together to create an evidence-informed health system.
The Centre for Health Leadership and Research was developed in cooperation with financial support from the
Health Care Leaders' Association of British Columbia.
