The Graduate Certificate in Tourism Leadership is delivered through a combination of online learning and an eight-day residency.  Designed with input from tourism leaders, students’ personal leadership skills, knowledge and abilities will be strengthened and expanded. Graduates gain applied knowledge in tourism leadership, global tourism and tourism delivery systems.

Upon successful completion of the program, graduates will be eligible to apply for advanced standing in the MA in Tourism Management. A portion of the tuition is waived. More

Who it’s for
Those in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors interested in advancing their professional tourism career.

Applicants who do not have the formal academic education to qualify for admission may be assessed on the basis of both their formal education and their informal learning, in accordance with the Flexible Admission Policy.

Outcomes
Graduates of the program will have the knowledge and skills to:

  • Critically engage with current leadership and tourism theory; practice and processes;
  • Increase their knowledge in the tourism leadership, delivery systems and industry leaders;
  • Select, analyze and explore leadership concepts and skills and apply them to opportunities and challenges faced by leaders at individual, organizational, community and industry levels. More
