The Graduate Certificate in Project Management program provides working professionals with the project management techniques, tools and strategies to achieve outstanding results. The program assists individuals in developing a strong foundation in the project management life cycle and how this knowledge can be used effectively within an organization.

Graduates may apply for international certification by the Project Management Institute as a Project Management Professional (PMP).

PMP and PMBOK are registered marks of the project Management Institute, Inc.

Upon successful completion, graduates can apply for advanced standing in Royal Roads University’s MBA program. A portion of the MBA tuition fee is waived.

Who it’s for
Working professionals who plan, manage and implement projects, and specifically those who wish to integrate project management concepts and tools into a comprehensive framework.

Applicants who do not have the formal academic education to qualify for admission may be assessed on the basis of both their formal education and their informal learning, in accordance with the Flexible Admission Policy.

Outcomes
Students learn project management models and project integration management; application of fundamental concepts of project management developed by the Project Management Institute and included in the PMBOK® Guide; development techniques for estimating, forecasting, evaluating, monitoring and reporting costs and interpreting earned-value data; and understanding that the project management life cycle is necessary for effective portfolio management.
