Ryan B. Lee
Ryan Lee’s research interests include enterprise risk management, internationalization in the insurance industry, alternative risk financing and health care reform. Lee's research has been published in the Journal of Risk and Insurance, Risk Management and Insurance Review, Journal of Insurance Issues and Journal of Financial Education. He has also been published in industry publications such as Risk Management, Canadian Insurance and Canadian Underwriter and is a co-author on the leading Canadian risk management and insurance textbook.
Lee joined Royal Roads University in January 2016 after 16 years with the University of Calgary where he was an associate professor of risk management and insurance. He served as associate dean of undergraduate programs for six years and served as the interim vice-provost of students for a short period.
Lee earned his PhD in Risk Management and Insurance from the University of Georgia (2001) and his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Nevada (1995). He also holds the Certified Financial Planner designation in Canada.
