School of Business
Megan Parrish is a Certified Management Accountant who has primarily worked in the private sector for real estate developers and construction firms; she has recently taken her love of financial analysis to the large local health authority in the public sector. Her background in political science developed a keen sense of international connectivity and societal pressures. It was from the passion and engagement of a university professor that turned her interest to accounting. It is that same passion that she hopes to inspire students with today.
Parrish was the senior finance manager at Landeca Services Inc. from 2008 to 2013 and senior accountant at Associated Building Credits from 2014 to 2015. She has been at Island Health since 2015. Parrish is a real estate licencee with the Victoria Real Estate Board. She served on the Victoria CPA/CMA chapter board for over three years. She now holds the position of treasurer for the Sail and Life Training Society (SALTS). Parrish lives on a small hobby farm near Victoria with her husband and two young boys.
Parrish holds a CMA professional designation from Certified Management Accountants of B.C. (2012) and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Business from the University of Victoria (2008)
