Bio (Mary Colak)
Mary Colak is the president and CEO of the MNC Consulting Group where, for more than 20 years, she has used her unique ability to turn chaos into order for organizations and individuals alike. Working with her clients, she helps them identify necessary improvements in both organizational and personal work methods and systems. As a result of her involvement, client organizations experience marked improvements in efficiency and productivity, while personal clients also experience a reduction in their stress level. In addition to working with organizations to improve business processes, Colak also coaches and mentors individuals to help them manage and overcome obstacles to job performance.
Prior to her work with MNC Consulting Group, Colak was a community advisor with the Victoria Foundation and a managing partner and owner of RIM Management Consultants Ltd. She served as president and vice-president of the Institute of Certified Management Consultants of BC from 2009 to 2011 and 2006 to 2009, respectively.
Colak holds a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Master Certificate from Villanova University (2013) and has completed courses in adult education from the University of Victoria. In 2017, Colak completed her studies for a Master of Arts in Professional Communication at Royal Roads University and also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from UVic (2001) and an Associate of Arts diploma in Public Administration from Camosun College (1987). In 2004, she obtained a Certified Management Consultant designation from the Canadian Association of Management Consultants and was on the honour roll in 2003 for attaining the top mark in B.C. on the CMC final case study exam. She was recognized as an Outstanding Graduate by the Institute of Public Administration of Canada in 1987.
