Lauren Schutte is a training and development consultant with 20 years of experience as a post-secondary instructor and facilitator. Since 2004, Schutte has taught in the MBA and Bachelor of Commerce program at RRU. Her professional accomplishments include the development and delivery of a Human Resources Capacity Building Program for the South African National Education Ministry.  She was the principal script writer for The Justice Gang, a TV program educating young South Africans on human rights.  Schutte is a Kundalini Yoga Instructor and is passionate about encouraging people to become life-long learners and empowering them with the skills needed to lead balanced and fulfilled lives.

 

Experience

Prior to RR, Schutte was assistant director for teaching and learning at the Graduate School of Public and Development Management in South Africa.  There, in addition to teaching a range of management courses, she set up the first Case Development Program and trained instructors from universities and government agencies in experiential teaching methodologies.  Schutte has written educational materials for NGOs and educational institutions, including the Leaders in Development Program at the Kennedy School of Government and Thompsons River University.
