Karen Somerville, PhD
Dr. Karen Somerville is an entrepreneur, educator, management consultant, executive coach, researcher, public speaker and accountant. Somerville is the President of Performance Plus Group, which specializes in leadership development and organizational change.
Her current research interests include organizational change, human resource management and women leaders. She has had a number of publications in peer-reviewed journals including Journal of Change Management, Public Admin Quarterly, and the International Journal of Knowledge, Culture and Change Management.
With more than 25 years of experience in senior management, Somerville is a results-oriented professional with extensive experience in all three sectors (private, public and non-profit). As an educator, Somerville has taught for a number of organizations in Canada and the United States, including the University of Ottawa, Carleton University, Hamline University and the University of St. Thomas.
Somerville holds a PhD in Management (Carleton University), an MBA (University of Ottawa), a Certified Executive Coach designation (Royal Roads University), a Chartered Professional Accountant designation (CPA Ontario) and a Certified General Accountant designation (CGA Ontario).
