Bio (Donald Prescott)
Donald Prescott has helped small to medium sized organizations in evaluating international trade markets, assessing market opportunities, understanding cultural differences and implications, as well as developing negotiation strategies in his role as a business consultant. He creates business plans for entrepreneurial clients and helped small companies in such areas as human resources, organizational change, business development and shareholder relations.
Prior to Royal Roads, Prescott worked in the public and private sector. He was involved in the creation, development, operation and management of an international trading corporation conducting business between North America and China. As president of this company, he led a team of internationally-experienced individuals conducting market research and facilitating the movement of commodities. He also developed and taught college and graduate level business courses focusing on business practices in Asia-Pacific, international negotiating, marketing and entrepreneurship.
Prescott has a BA in linguistics focusing on First Nations and Asian languages, as well as master's in public administration from the University of Victoria.
