Bio (Cindy Brar)
Board of Governors Member
Cindy Brar joined Royal Roads in 1996 to assist the Program Development Team. Later that year she was assigned to the newly created Science, Technology and Environment Division, now called the School of Environment and Sustainability. In 2005, Brar was reassigned to the Faculty of Social and Applied Sciences. She has since held the roles of learning support associate, coordinator and manager. In 2016, Brar was seconded to assist in the creation of the College of Interdisciplinary Studies, where she now holds a permanent position as the administrative manager.
Brar is currently a member of the university’s Diversity Action Group, Flexible Assessment Committee and Awards Adjudication Committee. She was previously on the Academic Technology Projects Steering Committee, Academic Council and many others throughout the years.
Brar is also a double Royal Roads alumnus. She holds a Graduate Certificate in Project Management and Master of Arts in Professional Communication. She is currently completing the Graduate Certificate in Business Development in International Education.
Brar is an avid golfer and curler, and a member of the executive committee for both her golf club and curling club.
