Bio ( Anthony Ralston)
Education and Technology
Anthony Ralston is currently the head of unit – design and development at the Global Learning Centre with the United Nations High Commission for Refugees in Budapest, Hungary. He is also an associate faculty member teaching in Royal Roads’ education programs. At UNHCR, Ralston is involved in program design and strategic planning for training initiatives for UNHCR staff worldwide. His position involves project management for UN training courses and programs, design of online learning, mobile learning and program design.
Ralston has taught media and education related courses at the college and university level in Canada and abroad. He has taught at Royal Roads since 2007. Since 2000, he has run his own consulting firm, AR Educational Technology Inc., which focuses on online program development, media design and development and mobile learning development.
Ralston holds a Master of Professional Education from Deakin University in Australia. His degree encompassed educational leadership, online and distance learning and the implementation of online and mobile learning. He holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Education from the University of Nottingham, U.K. and is furthering his doctoral studies through Athabasca University in the EdD program.
