Royal Roads helps to facilitate mid-career shifts

Geoff Johnson, former superintendent of schools, wrote an article in the Times Colonist about the emerging trend of people changing their occupation mid-career.

Johnson notes in his column that Royal Roads was created with such transitions in mind in the 1990s and that the needs remain today:

“Job-market watchers have been saying for years that modern workers will pursue more than one career over the course of a working life, and there are complex reasons why this may be more true now than ever. One of the most common reasons people change careers mid-life is that they want to leave a positive impact — they need to feel that they are making a difference and want a career that offers that possibility.”
