Remembering lives lost in UIA752

Royal Roads University joins Universities Canada to honour those who perished on Ukraine International Airlines Flight 752 in Tehran Jan. 8.

Post-secondary communities across the country will remember the victims and their families and friends in a moment of silence at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15.

Many of the 176 who died were students, faculty, researchers and university alumni.

“My heartfelt condolences go to everyone who is grieving this profound loss. It is an unfathomable tragedy for Iranian and post-secondary communities, and for Canada,” says President and Vice-Chancellor Philip Steenkamp. “Wherever you are tomorrow, I encourage you to hold the victims and their families and friends in your thoughts.”
