Hatley Castle dons colours of Ukraine
As a visual expression of our deep sorrow and outrage over the attack on Ukraine, and our solidarity with the innocent people fighting to save their free, democratic country and their very lives, Royal Roads University’s Hatley Castle is now awash in the colours of Ukraine’s flag every night.
As an international university with colleagues, partners, faculty, students and alumni connected to Ukraine, we hope this small act of solidarity brings some comfort to those who can see it in person, and that the image is shared around the world.
You can view the light display from dusk to dawn, March 8 to 21, 2022, on the south side of Hatley Castle (facing the Esquimalt Lagoon).
