Following the attacks on the Centre Culturel Islamique Québec in Québec City, the heightened atmosphere and reality of racism, xenophobia and discrimination after the U.S. presidential elections, Royal Roads University Faculty Association (RRUFA) has issued this statement:

RRUFA unequivocally condemns xenophobia and Islamophobia and all other hate speech used by politicians and others who seek to undermine our common human values and dignity. We condemn not only the rhetoric but the racist and politically motivated acts of violence and hatred which this speech incites.

RRUFA supports and advances anti-racism, pro-equality and human rights in all of its actions and deeds. We strongly support the struggle against hatred and fear and the development of  strong, positive views and aspirations which promote empathy and human decency.
