New from Veletsianos: Emergence and Innovation in Digital Learning
A new book edited by Canada Research Chair in Innovative Learning and Technology George Veletsianos brings together perspectives of scholars and practitioners on the future of online learning.
Emergence and Innovation in Digital Learning investigates a variety of innovations including openness, learning analytics, MOOCs and social media from international and multidisciplinary perspectives.
Educational systems worldwide face enormous shifts as a result of sociocultural, political, economic and technological changes. The technologies and practices developed over the last decade have been heralded as transformative to online and traditional education systems. But little analysis of emerging technologies and practices exists for use in online education to date.
Contributors to this collection harness the dispersed knowledge in online education to enable researchers and practitioners to conceptualize critique and enhance their understanding of the foundations and applications of new technologies.
An open-access publication from Athabasca University Press, Emergence and Innovation in Digital Learning can be downloaded in PDF from the publisher’s website.
