Royal Roads grads launch ventures, take on big roles and innovate.

BCom grad Devin Sorenson’s Tofino Towel co. is staying competitive and sustainable through local collaboration. Two MBA grads have taken top positions: Dr. Debra Wilson was promoted to chief human resources officer of Aurora Cannabis and the Baltimore Orioles have hired MBA grad John Vidalin as CEO. More in sporting news, BCom grad Nathan MacDonald was named the director of business operations for the WHL’s Swift Current Broncos. Another BCom grad, James Hyland, was appointed to the Board of Directors of the mineral properties company New Point Exploration. Two Royal Roads grads have launched new ventures: BCom grad Kate Flemming’s Karebags is an environmentally friendly solution to Victoria’s plastic bag ban and Master of Arts in Leadership grad Kojo Damptey is launching a record label, curating a music festival and cutting a new album.
