New federal and provincial funding will help create the $21.5-million Centre for Environmental Science and International Partnership at Royal Roads University. The funding was announced during a joint event at Camosun College on Thursday, Jan. 19.

The announcement attracted media coverage from the Times Colonist, CFAX 1070, CTV News Vancouver Island (story begins at 8:40 on the newscast), CBC Radio and others.

As part of that coverage, President and Vice-Chancellor Allan Cahoon was quoted in the Goldstream Gazette and Black Press news site.

“This funding provides Royal Roads with an opportunity to merge old with new – to respect the history of the 100 year-old Mews building through its transformation into a modern, sustainable teaching, learning and research space," Cahoon said.
