Eyes on ISIS
Prof. Ken Christie was interviewed on Russian TV, a 24/7 Russian news media outlet that broadcasts exclusively in English to a potential 700 million viewers. Christie was asked to discuss the latest responses from Western powers who were meeting in London to discuss counter-terrorism strategies against Islamic jihadi groups. The TV channel is based in London and has global coverage.
"It's very difficult to stop this kind of terrorism from taking place, as we saw in the attacks on Charlie Hebdo in Paris for instance," Christie says in the segment. "It's going to take a lot more clear-cut strategy from these countries. They've been defining a war on terrorism for the last 20 years and it's not been terribly successful."
