School of Humanitarian Studies Prof. Kenneth Christie was interviewed by CHEK News about the importance of the scheduled Victoria port visit on Dec. 15 by three ships of the China’s People’s Liberation Army (Navy).

Here is an excerpt:

“The most important thing is that Asia Pacific is a huge area and Canada’s got a fairly small navy. China’s increasing the size of its navy all the time, so to have that type of cooperation from such a major superpower in the region would be quite important to Canada,” says Christie.
