Christie on Canada’s role in Huawei case
Prof. Ken Christie, head of Royal Roads University’s Human Security and Peacebuilding program, appeared on CFAX 1070’s Afternoons with Mark Brennae to discuss the role of Canada, the United States and China in the high-profile extradition case of Huawei executive Meng Wanzhou.
Here’s an excerpt:
‘What’s happening is Canada is being used as a sort of pawn in the trade war between the United States and China and Canada is seen as a small middle power that can be bullied...So the United States is actually to blame in many ways for using Canada and manipulating Canada into this position.’
