Chancellor’s Community Recognition Award

Recognizing excellence throughout our community

Royal Roads connects people, ideas and experiences to change lives and the world. Recognizing those actions is important and the university is proud to celebrate outstanding individuals or organizations with the Chancellor’s Community Recognition Award. The award honours recipients who model the university’s motto, “Living our learning,” through community service.

Nominations for the Chancellor’s Community Recognition Award may be made at any time and can be made by anyone. Learn more about past recipients here.

Award presentation

Chancellor’s Community Recognition Awards are presented at spring and fall convocation. The chancellor of the university hosts a special celebration in conjunction with convocation. Chancellor’s Community Recognition Award recipients are invited to attend this event. Chancellor’s Community Recognition Award recipients are also asked to give a convocation address during the ceremony when their awards are presented.
