Zhenyi Li joined Royal Roads University in 2005 after teaching communications at the University of British Columbia, Simon Fraser University, Queen’s University, Lille Catholic University in France, University of Jyvaskyla in Finland and Fudan University in Shanghai, China.
Since 1995, he has developed an intercultural communication career in training, research and consulting. He provides training and consulting for universities and the forestry, chemistry, finance and telecommunication industries in Europe, Asia and North America.
Li's research includes intercultural collaboration and training, particularly the challenges and strategies in East-West joint projects. In 2001, his book Cultural Impact on International Branding: A case of marketing Finnish mobile phones in China was published. He has also written several articles on intercultural marketing and branding.
